Spain Stakeholder Form
Project Description
We are initiating a local stakeholder consultation of our project: “Spain Sustainable Farming Project”. The objective of the project is to generate carbon credits from regenerative agricultural practices in line with VERRA standards and methodologies (www.verra.org).
Verra is a global leader, with major recognition internationally, helping to tackle the world´s most intractable environmental and social challenges by developing and managing standards that help the private sector, countries, and civil society achieve ambitious sustainable development and climate action goals. Verra catalyzes measurable climate action and sustainable development outcomes by driving large-scale investment in activities that reduce emissions, improve livelihoods and protect nature.
Verra is having under consideration our project for carbon credits.
The Spain Sustainable Farming Project from One Carbon World (OCW) in association with The Regen Academy and Tierra Pura Foundation, aims to raise farmers' awareness of the benefits of regenerative agriculture and how changes in agricultural practices can help in climate change mitigation and adaptation. In order to achieve this objective, the project activity consists of introducing Precision Agricultural Technologies (PATs) with digitalization tools in existing or to-be-implemented regenerative agricultural land management practices, to reduce and remove GHG emissions.
